The Gang

We are a small community of passionate volunteers committed to helping the cats around Corfu Town. We are a registered charity, but we aren’t government-funded — all the costs for cat food, medicine and vet treatments are covered by donations.

We started by looking after a small colony of about 30 stray cats next to the cemetery of Corfu Town. Today our cat sanctuary is home to a much larger family. We provide food, medical treatment, sterilisation and a safe place to live. For the poorly ones and the tiny kittens, we were able to rent a small shed to keep them safe; all the other cats live in our open outdoor sanctuary, where we built a large roof construction to protect them from rain, sun and storms.

We aren’t an official, government-run shelter — there are none on Corfu — but for the cats in our care, we are a permanent sanctuary: a safe place to belong, for as long as they need it.
