Cemetery Cats Corfu

Our Mission

To ensure that the stray cats around Corfu town live their best life — loved, cared for, and free from hunger, disease and mistreatment. Our sanctuary exists so that every cat has that chance.

Sustainable care

Sterilization

We run our sanctuary on care, kindness and respect for life. A rigorous sterilization programme is one of our core focus areas — we believe it is the foundation for reducing the stray cat population on Corfu in a lasting, humane way.

Rehoming

Rehoming the abandoned, sick and injured kittens we rescue is central to our work. In Corfu the chances of adoption are low, as most people who would adopt already care for several rescues of their own. Our programme therefore arranges adoptions across the EU and the UK, so every kitten can find a family.

At the heart of it all

Kindness

Kindness shows in the love and attention our colony receives every single day. We provide food, shelter and medical care for every cat we look after — because compassion is the reason we exist.

The universal sign of care

Every neutered cat gets an ear tip

A small notch on the ear is the international sign that a cat has been neutered and won't have another litter. It lets everyone see, at a glance, that she is spayed and cared for — no cat is ever trapped or treated twice.
