Can you help our cats reach their new homes?

Finding a loving home for one of our cats is only half the journey. The other half is getting them there — and right now, that’s where we need help.

Until earlier this year, we were lucky to have a dedicated animal transport — an association that came to Corfu every month with a van, collected cats who had found homes, and brought them safely to Austria and Germany. It was a lifeline. Sadly, that transport has now fallen away, and we are looking for new ways to bring our cats to their families.

We adopt cats out all across Europe, but a cat waiting on Corfu can only start its new life once there is a safe way to travel. Without a reliable transport, adoptions stall — and the cats wait longer than they should.

This is where you might come in.

We are open to any solution that helps our cats leave the island safely and legally:

• An animal transport service or association that travels between Greece and the rest of Europe
• A regular driver or van making the journey who could take a cat along
• Flight volunteers — travellers flying from Corfu who could accompany a cat as extra luggage (we handle all the paperwork and costs). Learn how it works ›

A monthly transport also used to do something else for us: on its way to Corfu, it could bring along much-needed supplies that supporters had sent ahead. A reliable route in both directions helps the cats twice over — getting them out, and bringing food and materials in.
