Vanilla, forever loved

Vanilla came to us in her final months, and the only family she ever knew was us — and you. For that, and for every kindness sent her way, we will always be grateful.

Early May 2025 — a new arrival

We met sweet little Vanilla in the first days of May. From the start we feared her diagnosis might be a hard one, and we promised ourselves one thing: whatever came, we would make her as comfortable and as loved as we possibly could.

May–June 2025 — through surgery, and gently cared for

Vanilla came through major surgery and recovered in the calm, sterile care of the clinic — after everything she had been through, we would not cut corners on her comfort. Slowly, patiently, she was looked after every step of the way, thanks to so many of you who helped carry her medical costs.

7 July 2025 — rest now, sweet girl

Our little world turns the way our hearts do — from love and joy to sorrow and back again, always wishing we could have held them a moment longer. Today, Vanilla left us. She had earned her rest.

Rest now, Vanilla — may you find your way back to your mother's nest, to a time when you were safe and whole, and know that you were deeply, truly loved.
