Sponsor Pilot, our grumpy old man

Pilot was found by visitors at the airport. Where he came from, we do not know, but he was in bad shape. The visitors promised to support him if we took him in — but you all know how that story goes.

Sofia, who is in charge of our outdoor tribe, often says: “How is it possible that a seemingly healthy cat goes to the clinic with a cold and never returns, and then there is Pilot?” Shabby, old(ish), toothless, a frequent flyer at the clinic for his stomatitis flare-ups, grumpy (though if your gums always hurt, we understand), this wild boy sits like a potato and always expects food. We suspect he basically lives for breakfast and dinner.

He is not a pretty sight, as he can’t wash himself properly, and he is not social, so adoption is out of the question. Yet despite how he looks, he is one of our most expensive cats. His Solensia injections twice a month cost €60 each, and then he also needs antibiotic injections, plus special food.

We guess that if anyone wanted to sponsor a cat, they would probably choose someone prettier — or at least one who could say thank you once in a while… and that’s definitely not Pilot.
