Her story
A little aristocrat who chooses her people.
Jan is a petite little girl. She was dropped off at our shelter as a baby together with her terrified brother, Tim. They were both named in honour of one of our sponsors and his late wife, as a way of thanking them for their generosity.
Tim is still a little chicken and prefers to avoid people, but Jan has grown into a sweet, beautiful and elegant young lady. She is a little aristocratβnot overly enthusiastic about strangers. If she loves you, it is because she has chosen you, and that makes you special. To win her trust, all you need is patience and kindness.
She is one of those cats who quietly observes her surroundings, chooses her activities accordingly, and is always well-mannered. While most shelter kittens go wild the moment you open a tin of food, Jan simply waits patiently to be served.
She was also a naughty baby and, to this day, still appreciates a freshly cleaned litter box for a little wiggle and roll before anyone else has a chance to use it.
She is playful, gets along well with other cats, and may be a little unsure around very young children, so she would be happiest in a calmer household. A safe indoor/outdoor home would suit her perfectly, but she would also be happy as a completely indoor cat.
Jan is almost one year old. She is sterilised, fully vaccinated, and healthy.
